*Father-Daughter Summer 2014 Photography Expo*
*RIVERDALE PARK, MD July 4, 2014* – Riverdale Park Arts Council has
launched the latest in its on-going series of RPAC member-artist
exhibitions at Town Center Market but this one is the first father-daughter
photography showing. The 12-print show features photographs from the
mid-Atlantic by Jeffrey Yorke and Vivian Yorke’s recent works from Sydney,
Austrilia and Queensview, New Zealand.
All pictures are framed and are available to purchase for $100 or less. *A
portion of the proceeds will benefit RPAC’s three-year-old local artist
scholarship program, the Gerald King Fine Arts Award.* All exhibited art
(and more from our catelog) is available for reproduction in various sizes
and as greeting cards, coffee mugs, etc.
*PAY & GO:* Unlike other art exhibitions, after paying for the
photographs, *buyers
are invited to remove the picture and take it with them*. Empty spots will
be immediately filled with new photographs and art produced by other
RPAC-member artists. The pieces will vary in subject, style, art medium and
in price during the three-month rotation.
RPAC encourages you to support local artists by buying locally produced
art. A price list is posted at the exhibition and Town Center Market
cashiers also have price lists. Please pay the cashier for all RPAC artwork.
And don’t forget RPAC’s second annual *Summer Patio Concerts* series on
Town Center Market’s patio begins in two weeks, on Thursday, July 17 at 7
pm, right after the Farmers Market. The 10-week free music series each
Thursday features emerging young artists from the University of Maryland
School of Music produced by Riverdale Park resident and School of Music
Clairnet Chairman, *Professor Robert DiLutis*.
