Get your sugar snap peas, blueberries, garlic scapes, turnips, jams and
jellies, apples, greens, flowers, plants, greens, pastured meats, free
range hen eggs, fresh seafood, artisan aged goat and raw milk cheeses while
we enjoy the heart of Spring. Don't miss it! Many new and enticing
products will be coming to the market this year! Come and enjoy the
festive early Spring atmosphere! Evening hours are fun at the market! We
look forward to seeing you Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm at the Riverdale Park

*WEATHER: *High 87F. Chance of rain 60%. Variable clouds with scattered
showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon Please be careful at
the market tomorrow. If the weather looks dangerous, duck into a building
or under the bridge to protect yourself from the weather. We will also.

*Feature: Blueberries*

Whether baked in a cobbler, mixed with yogurt and granola, or just enjoyed
plain on its own, the humble blueberry is undeniably a star of the summer
harvest season. High in free radical-fighting antioxidants, blueberries
help to improve memory, contribute to lower blood pressure, and regulate
blood sugar for persons diagnosed with type-2 diabetes. When selecting
blueberries, look for berries that are firm, springy, and vibrant in
color. To maximize the blueberry’s nutritional benefits and flavor, *we
recommend that you enjoy blueberries raw* and wash right before eating.
Refrigerated and kept in a closed container, blueberries should keep for
5-10 days.
