[RP TownTalk] RP Sustainability Committee

Friends and Neighbors -

I just wanted to put out a quick post to congratulate the Riverdale Park Sustainability Committee  ('Green Team') for successfully submitting an application towards achieving Sustainable Maryland Certified status.  If the application is successful it means that our town will open itself up to numerous grant awards including Maryland Energy Administration awards.  This was an important first step for the town and the Committee now gets to move beyond the administrative tasks towards projects in town.

Here are some of the projects that the RPSC will be focusing in the 2015 Fiscal Year:
- Beautify Beale Circle - (volunteer park)
- Storm Drain Murals
- Regular Clean Ups
- Pet Waste Stations.
- Tree City, USA Certification
-Energy Efficiency for the Youth and Community Wing build-out
