Property Owners located within a Historic District in the State of Maryland
have the opportunity to earn a one-time state income tax credit equal to 
20 percent of qualified rehabilitation expenditures. The credit is 
capped at $50,000 and must be spent in a 24-month period. A property 
owner must have a minimum of $5,000 of eligible expenses to qualify. A

Roof repair and replacement, Chimney repair and lining
Window restoration. New storm doors/windows
Masonry repointing, Floor refinishing
Structural repairs, Plumbing, electrical & mechanical systems

Architectural/ Engineering/ Consulting fees Tool/equipment rental
