SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 

 

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE NOTICE 

January 21, 2015 

 

WEEKEND WORK ON ROUTE 1 

The Maryland State Highway Administration has approved the development
team's request to conduct weekend work along Route 1 for the installation of
a storm drainage pipe. The three lanes of Route 1 (two northbound lanes and
the center turn lane) will be closed periodically between the hours of 9am
to 3pm to allow for the installation of the storm water pipe. Traffic will
be diverted to a single southbound lane and a single northbound lane
utilizing the lanes on the far west side of Route 1. 

 

Weather permitting the work will be taking place this weekend (1/24 and 25)
and every weekend through the end of February. The weekend work is necessary
to offset weather related delays and to expedite the completion of the work.
