*Call to Serve on The RPAC Board of Directors*

The Riverdale Park Arts Council (RPAC) is seeking people interested in
serving on the Board of Directors. Candidates should have a background in
any of the arts (i.e. music, literature, painting, etc.) and be willing to
attend meetings held 7 p.m. every second Tuesday of the month (no meetings
during July, November or December).

The elections for the 2015-2016 RPAC Board will be held on Tuesday, July 7,
2015 from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Riverdale Park Town Hall at 5008 Queensbury
Road in Riverdale Park, MD. If you're interested in being considered as a

The current Board, by majority vote, recently expanded next year's Board from
nine to 12 members. It is the current board's desire that potential
candidates from Riverdale Park Wards 4, 5 and 6 (in the Eastern part of
town) will apply since those Wards have no representation.  A bilingual
candidate would be especially welcome.

The arts-related presentation at this year's meeting will be given by Catherine
Kapikian, who served as artist-in-residence at Wesley Theological Seminary
in Washington, DC.  Ms. Kapikiatz is the founder emeritus of the Henry Luce
III Center for the Arts and Religion and a noted writer and lecturer. She
