Thanks Sue. I was sad to see the trees go too but some new landscaping and TLC wouldn't hurt. Hope the new owner takes good care of the tenants and building.

I live in the building at Ravenswood and Lafayette; it's just been sold to a new owner.  I was sad to see our trees cut down, however; truth be told, most of them were rather raggedy, they hadn't been cared for over the past several years.  The workmen told me that they'll be putting new trees in at some point, hope that's true (they DID let me keep my little flower patch in front of the building!) .  And it's called Coral View Apartments?  Wow, you know more about the place than I do (smile).  I've lived here since 1987, this'll be the 6th owner in my time, I'm hoping they do well and don't raise the rent TOO much for the few of us old-timers who are still there.  (and I'm hoping they'll be a bit more particular about renting, so we don't have the police dept. paying us visits all the time.....)   It used to be a nice little working-class building, so maybe it can be that way, again?  Please let me know if YOU hear any news?  Thanks!
