> The Riverdale Park Arts Council (RPAC); in collaboration with the
> University of Maryland Wind, Brass and Percussion Department; conducts
> performances of the 2015 Summer Patio Concert Series on
> Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on the patio of the Town Center Market
> (TCM) located at 4705 Queensbury Rd, Riverdale Park, MD (20737).
> NOTE: The concerts will be held from 7 - 8 p.m., every Wednesday until
> September 16.

> Once again, RPAC extends a hearty thanks to the TCM for willingness to
> host the event again this year. As always, craft beer and food will be
> available. We also thank Professor Robert DiLutis for spearheading the
> project.

> THIS WEEK ... SEPTEMBER 9
> Specializing in new works and original transcriptions, District5
> creates immersive and dramatic shows that depart from the standard
> concert format. By combining innovation with musical integrity, their
> imaginative interpretations seek to heighten the audience's emotional
> connection to the music. With the US premiere of Karlheinz
> Stockhausen's ROTARY Woodwind Quintet already to their credit, this
> emerging wind quintet continues to produce one-of-a-kind performances.
> Recently, District5 has worked with The Barns at Wolf Trap, the Berlin
> Philharmonic Wind Quintet, and the LeDroit Chamber Players as well as
> outreach events with the DC Youth Orchestra, American Youth
> Philharmonic and the UMBC Wind Ensemble. District5 has been presented
> by many concert series including Common Tone, the Washington Arts
> Club, DC Library Fringe Fest, NextNOW Fest and the Riversdale Mansion
> Chamber Music Society; this summer they competed as finalists in the
> 2015 Savvy Musician Chamber Music Competition in Columbia, South
> Carolina. District5 ​held the position of Fellowship Wind Quintet at
> the University of Maryland​ from 2013-15​.
