The  <http://www.sofausa.org/> Society for Financial Awareness-a non-profit
organization whose goal is to assist individuals to take charge of personal
finances by providing financial education across America, one community at a
time-will present a two-part financial workshop titled - "Creating Your Own
Financial Roadmap.Live your life by design, not by default" on Tuesday,
August 16, 2016 (Part I) & Tuesday, August 23, 2016 (Part II) from 12 noon -
1 pm in the Riverdale Park Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road, Riverdale Park
MD 20737.

 

The purpose of this hands-on workshop is to help you create your own
financial roadmap applying the principals of budgeting, wealth accumulation,
debt reduction and insurance.  

 

This two-hour workshop will be split into two weeks, for maximum benefit,
please plan to attend both workshops.  The agenda is as follows: 

 

Tuesday August 16, 2016:

 

.         An overview of financial planning and creating your financial
roadmap

.         Blueprinting exercise - Identify what you value most, Dangers,
Opportunities and Strengths

.         Understanding challenges - Economic, inflation, debt; will social
security be adequate for your retirement?  How does this directly affect you
reaching your financial goals?

.         What you need to know about financial advisors

 

Tuesday August 23, 2016:

 

.         Review your blueprinting exercise and the financial
planning/roadmap process

.         Fill out your financial spreadsheets - a critical step to ensure
your financial habits are aligned with your goals and desired lifestyle

.         Identify your financial weak points / vulnerabilities

.         Techniques to build wealth and reduce debt

.         Creating your personalized financial roadmap

.         Where to find sources of helpful information

 

This workshop is cost-free for Riverdale Park residents.  If you'd like to
