[RP TownTalk] Multicultural Youth Center GED/ Workforce Program Now Accepting Referrals & Applications

Greetings!

 

Maryland Multicultural Youth Center in Langley Park, MD is currently accepting referrals & applications for the fall cohort with the GED/ Workforce Program.

 

The Workforce Program offers GED preparation, job skills and life skills training, paid internships, job placement services, one-on-one touring, case management, and support services for out-of-school youth ages 16-24.

 

Primary Eligibility Criteria: Youth must be between the ages of 16-24. Youth must live in Prince George's County. Youth must have a legal status in the country. Youth must be seeking alternatives to obtain their High School Diploma (GED).  We are also accepting referrals from youth with a HS Diploma seeking employment. 

 

To refer a youth who may be interested in this program please submit the attached referral form. You can scan the referral form and email it to dalia at layc-dc.org or fax Attn: Dalia Perez to 301-445-0472.

 

We also take walk-ins Monday through Thursday between 9:30am to 4:00pm.

 

On Thursday, July 14th we are having an Enrollment Session from 10:00am to 2:00pm. We will have potential youth, parents/ guardian join us for an information session about the program and youth will have the opportunity to complete their CASAS testing. We would appreciate if you pass along this information to youth and families who may benefit from this program.
