Here are some additional details...The county has requested a return to the old design with the open aerial and the concessionaire is developing the engineering design. Because MTA opted for a different design when the project was bid, the county had to request a change order which we have done. I am suspecting to see a new design late summer/early fall. At that time, we will understand better the cost and how those costs will be handled by the state and county. I am very committed to resolving this and delivering an appropriate design and have been in numerous meetings on this very matter.
