[RP TownTalk] Town Charter questons

Is anyone else aware of this provision of the town code?
Is there a means of enforcing this section of the charter?

The story, years ago, was that Door to door sales folks were to be
licensed, and we could send them to the RPD to ensure that they had a
license. I never knew the basis for that story. This seems to have been
laughed off but I think this subsection of Town Charter 302 might apply.


> 302:  Specific Powers
>      The council shall have, in addition, the power to pass ordinances not contrary to the 
> Constitution and laws of the State of Maryland for the specific purposes provided in but 
> not limited to the following subsections of this section: 



>      Hawkers.
>   To license, tax, regulate, suppress, and prohibit hawkers and itinerant 
> dealers, peddlers, and all other persons selling any articles on the streets of the town, 
> including solicitors for charitable causes, and to revoke such licenses for cause.
