Join PGCPS for a Tele-Town Hall Meeting to Discuss the Student Safety Task
Force Report

 

On May 31, the independent Student Safety Task Force released its report and
recommendations regarding current school policies, procedures and practices
of Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). We are committed to
enacting real and substantive change to ensure student safety as well as
engaging with parents and members of the community to make certain that
everyone has a voice in our efforts to change our systems for the protection
of our children. 

PGCPS would like you to join us for a special Tele-Town Hall on Monday, June
6, from 6-7 p.m. for a discussion about the Task Force’s report and
recommendations. Dr. Charlene M. Dukes, President of Prince George’s
Community College; Dr. Kevin Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer, PGCPS; and
Dr. Segun Eubanks, Chair, Prince George’s County Public Schools Board of
Education, will be on the line to share information and answer your
questions live.

El 31 de mayo, el Grupo de Trabajo de Seguridad Estudiantil independiente
publicó su informe y sus recomendaciones con respecto a las actuales
políticas, procedimientos y prácticas escolares del las Escuelas Públicas
del Condado de Prince George (PGCPS). Nos comprometemos a promulgar cambios
reales y significantes para garantizar la seguridad estudiantil y obtener la
participación de los padres de familia y miembros de la comunidad y
asimismo, asegurarnos de que todos tengan voz y voto en nuestros esfuerzos
para cambiar dichos sistemas por la seguridad de nuestros hijos.

Las PGCPS lo invitan a participar en un Teleforo especial el lunes, 6 de
junio de 6-7 p.m. para hablar sobre el informe y las recomendaciones del
Grupo de Trabajo. Lupi Quinteros-Grady y Dinora Hernández miembros de la
Junta de Educación del Condado de Prince George compartirán información y
responderán a sus preguntas en vivo.
