TOMORROW:  Prince George's County Provides South County based Shuttle
Service to the Green Line during WMATA Surge #2.

 

LARGO, MD - Prince George's County has added a second bus shuttle that will
provide service from the Largo Metro Station to the Suitland Metro Station
during the Metrorail shutdown from June 18 - July 3, 2016. The additional
shuttle service will provide commuters with a Southern option to access the
Green Line similar to the New Carrolton to Greenbelt shuttle the County will
be running in the north.  The details of the shuttle bus service are as
follows:

*	The County will provide bus service on weekdays from Monday June 20
through Friday July 1. 
*	Buses will operate between Largo Metro Station and the Suitland
Metro Station.
*	The service will be fare-free and express, with no other passenger
stops other than the two Metro stations.
*	From 6:00AM-10:00AM  and 3:00PM-7:00PM we will operate ten (10)
buses on the service.
*	Between 10:00AM and 3:00PM  five (5) buses will run on the service. 

During peak hours, operations will be load and go.  During non-peak hours,
buses will run every 15 minutes. In addition, Prince George's County will
continue to have Street Team members at the Largo Metro Station and the
Suitland Metro Station on Monday morning, and signage will direct riders to
the shuttles.  Even with the addition of the second shuttle, if they must
enter the system during peak hours, commuters are still reminded to plan
ahead and be prepared to add an additional 1-2 hours to their commute.
