Thanks for this note. It certainly adds a perspective that I had missed.
I especially like the thought of a well advertised (and well attended I
hope) public hearings that invite public comment would go a very long
way to understanding what the town has either committed to, missed the
boat about, or is considering.

Transparency, public involvement through positive solicitation of
comments seems to lead to better understanding, and in the end a consensus.
