Local Author: Lavon Leslie

The book is "The History of the National Association of Colored Women's
Clubs'". It chronicles the founding and early history of the oldest black
women's organization in America. Mary Church Terrell, women's right
activist, served as the first president. Harriet Tubman attended the
founding of the organization in 1896. It has led efforts to champion
equality and women rights. It was established in Washington DC during the
progressive era. The organization remains in existence.

Saturday May 21st 4 PM

West Coast Authors Nick Sharma and Ron Lovell discuss their latest works.
Nick Sharma writes uplifting children's books with a multi-cultural
outlook, He will read from Shalu, the Festival of Colors.
Mystery writer, Ron Lovell, will read from his latest murder mystery, A
Dangerous Assignment. Part of the Lorenzo Madrid series.
