[RP TownTalk] Trees Cut Down on Bike Path near Greg's Towing

Hello,

Does anyone know why a majority of trees on the right side of the biking/walking path (when going North) between Greg's Towing and Tuckerman St. were marked with blue spray paint and subsequently cut down?

It's highly unfortunate, given that it seems ALL mature trees on that side were taken down. What was once a walk marked with greenery on both sides with maybe a splash of industrial building is now marked by the remnants of cut down (mature) trees, barbed wire, containers, and old industrial buildings. 

Please inform as to the plan regarding the tree cuttings and the reason for the cutting itself.
