published in Feb 2016 describes how to become more resilient. "Living
through adversity doesn’t guarantee that you’ll suffer going forward. What
matters is whether that adversity becomes traumatizing.... 'We can make
ourselves more or less vulnerable by how we think about things.' "

This short course is for parents who want to change their perspective and
improve their quality of life. In addition to helping you prioritize doing
things you enjoy, this class will teach you new ways to think about your
problems, and help you implement self-care techniques. The emphasis will be
on the principles taught in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and
mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) that have been proven to reduce
stress. By learning how to balance your own needs with those of the rest of
the family, you can be a better parent.
