Angie's list is a good source.  I have used them in the past and they were very good.  I believe you get a discount if you mention them when you book the job.
You have to be a member to use the list, but the cost is minimal.

My railing is falling apart on my front porch and our kitchen floor is bubbling up. Would consider general handyman or specialized services to solve these problems . We prefer earth friendly materials and expert work. We live in Riverdale Park. Thanks for your assistance.
