Thanks Lynne. Important information.

Wearing my other hat as a journalist, I’ve been doing special reports all
month on ACA enrollment and health reform around the country. Nationwide,
and here in MD, enrollment is above expectations despite the much shorter
enrollment period, and despite a 90% cut in ACA advertising funding by the
administration. Nonprofits like MCCPTA are a big part of that.

The Maryland Health Connection folks tell us Maryland has the *only* app
where people can sign up from beginning to end via mobile, including
uploading verification documents. They’re trying to make it super-easy.

As many know, and many don't, the federal government has shortened the Open
Season window for ACA Insurance Marketplaces/Exchanges (both State and
Federal) - and also greatly cut the budget for advertising the Exchanges
and new deadlines. Those organizations working to ensure that all those who
need insurance are aware of the deadlines and opportunities are asking for
help sharing information.

Please share this information widely in your communities.... there are
flyers at the bottom in English and Spanish, embedded links to access the
online Marketplace, links to the AppStores to access the Marketplace app,
and contact email and phone for the Maryland Health Connection Outreach
coordinator.
