Prince George’s County Hosts “All I Want for Christmas Is You” Pet Adoption Event

Discounted adoption fees for dogs and cats from December 1st through December 31st

LARGO, MD – This holiday season, consider participating in Prince George’s County’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” event and adopting a pet from the Animal Services Facility. From December 1st to December 31st, the adoption fees are discounted for dogs and cats. During the event, dog adoptions are $125 (regularly $225) and cat adoptions are $70 (regularly $175); and, simultaneous adoption of a second cat is only $25. Adoptions are free for dogs and cats that have been spayed or neutered.

“Don’t miss out on this chance to be a hero this year. Give a homeless dog or cat the gift of a ‘forever home’ and adopt a pet this holiday season. There’s a wide variety of pets in need of new, loving homes. The staff and volunteers at the Animal Services Facility will assist you throughout the adoption process. From selecting the best pet for your family to caring for your new four-legged friend at home, we’ll guide you every step of the way,” said Animal Services Facility Associate Director Rodney Taylor.
Adoption fees cover County license, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm and other blood tests, and spay or neuter surgery (if necessary).
