*Join Chris Desautels* for a discussion and presentation of the various
skills, techniques and tools involved in chair-building and his thoughts on
traditional vs. modern techniques. "Chairs are challenging projects,
involving organic sculpted shapes, precise joinery, compound angles and
curved wood. In the end, they need to be strong, light, comfortable and
visually balanced."

This free presentation will take place at *5 PM on Saturday, August 11* at
the University Park Church of the Brethren located at *4413 Tuckerman St.,
University Park MD
