Sometimes you know it's going to happen and sometimes it just sneaks up on
you. You're just going about your day and BAM! someone makes a comment or
snide remark and you have the choice to let it go or engage in a difficult
conversation. In this workshop, participants will learn techniques to
navigate those moments and how engage in difficult conversation topics
while remaining assertive, empathetic and calm. Through games, role-playing
and observation, participants will practice these conversation techniques
and develop a personalized communication plan to take with them through
their everyday lives.
The Hyattsville Municipal Building has a parking lot, street parking (free
on Sundays), and is located near a number of bus stops which serve the West
Hyattsville and PG Plaza Metro stations, along with the University of
Maryland. Visit the following link for more information: http://www.hyatts
