This is a reminder that the Hyattsville Horticultural Society (HHS) will be holding its annual seed sale THIS SATURDAY, February 3, 2018, starting at the same time, and upstairs from, Hyattsville Aging in Place's annual Valentine Making event.  Please stop by both!

WHEN: Sat., Feb. 3rd

HOURS: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

WHERE: Municipal Building

4310 Gallatin St., Hyattsville, MD

We will have a wide selection of Hart's and Southern Exposure seeds, chosen by expert local gardeners to work well in your Hyattsville garden!   Seeds for flowers, herbs, and vegetables will be available, along with used gardening supplies and books, informational pamphlets about gardening challenges, homemade lunch and dessert items, and free answers to your gardening questions from HHS' experienced gardeners.  

NEW THIS YEAR:

1. The City of Hyattsville's Certified Arborists will be on hand to answer your questions about Hyattsville's tree canopy--such as "why was that beautiful old tree taken down?" and "where should i site my new shade tree sapling that I purchased WITH A FULL REBATE?"

and

2. Hyattsville Environment Committee members will be on hand to tell you about our new REBATE FOR PURCHASING SHADE TREE SAPLINGS, which can be used with PG County's rebate to get a new shade tree fully reimbursed!  We can also tell you how to get help removing english ivy from your existing shade trees, installing or maintaining your rainbarrels, and other HEC initiatives in the works.
