[RP TownTalk] Recycling collection this week

Town staff got in touch with the County/Bates, and recycling will be picked up tomorrow!  Here's the Town's tweet:

"TRP Residents, we have contacted Prince George's County and their contractor Bates for an update on recycling pickup in town. They will be collecting recycling tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 28th. Please have your recycling curbside for pickup tomorrow."

We just called 311 and they said that Bates told them to tell everyone to just leave all the recycling at the curb and that it will be picked up. We ask if that would be today or on Saturday, but they couldn’t give us an answer. So, will just leave it on the curb and hope they come by.

I just talked to the town,  and they confirmed the pick up was to have been yesterday,  and that several people have called to say theirs wasn't picked up.  As for actual,  current status,  we'd have to call the county,  who provides the service.  I just tried (311) and got cut off....

We also put our recycling out on the night of the 25th to make sure it was out first thing on the 26th and hasn’t yet been collected (as of 11:30am on the 27th). We’re in the northwest corner of Ward 1, around the corner from Fiona. Any idea from Town staff of when recycling will be picked up?

Anyone know if we’ll get a collection today? It said in the town crier/town calendar that it was going to happen yesterday (12/26). We have a lot of stuff on the curb, really don’t want to have to move it all back, especially since next Wednesday is New Year’s Day, so again no normal collection.
