This just in from the Washington Rowing School. Community Challenge is a
blast!

Get ready for the Community Challenge! Starts this Saturday! Here is your
chance to learn to row and then race for your community this summer. Join
in to experience the thrill of rowing!

   - Awesome sport
   - Super exercise
   - Scenic river setting
   - Expert coaches
   - Row in a shell with eight new friends
   - Lots of practices to choose among in August on both weekdays and
   weekends
   - No experience or fitness required; brand new and experienced rowers
   are welcome
   - Program kickoff is Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, 9:30 - 12:00
   a.m. Recommended especially for new rowers.
   - Practice schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:30 a.m. and 6:00-8:15
   p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays 6:30-9:00 a.m. Come to lots or all of them.
   - Finale competition, the Bladensburg Races,       remembers the Battle
   of Bladensburg on August 24,  8:00-11:00 a.m. Teams will be formed by
   neighborhood or social group as desired.
   - Program fee is $150 for adults, $75 for youth and seniors.
