Three towns along the Route 1 corridor will hold the first-ever joint Trolley
Trail Day

this Saturday, June 8, and it promises to be a major celebration.

The daylong event, which will take place in spots along the
hiking-and-biking trail in Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and College Park,
includes live music, food, family activities and group fitness programs.

For the athletically minded, Posh Cycling and Fitness will have $10 classes

Hyattsville's international festival

For the history-minded, Maryland Milestones will hold a free discussion

streetcar in the D.C. Metro area and the history of the Washington, Berwyn,
and Laurel line on Wednesday.

Along with the development of Route 1, the streetcar tied together the
towns from Mount Rainier to College Park in the early part of the 20th
century in ways that can still be seen today. Trolley Trail Day is a great
way to honor that history while bringing towns in the Route 1 corridor
together anew.
