services this Saturday, March 30th.

Hello, all, this is Brandon, Ken’s son:

To those that don’t know already, Kenneth Richard Laureys tragically passed
away on March 20th.

There will be a memorial mass service at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church at
5205 43rd Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781 at 11 AM on Saturday, March 30th,
followed by a repast to be held at the Riverdale Park Town Hall located at
5008 Queensbury Rd, Riverdale Park, MD 20737 at 12:30 pm.

Any and all are welcome to one or both of these events on Saturday.

At the repast, guests will have an opportunity to sign up to speak or tell
a story about Ken to the group, we only ask that you attempt to limit these
speeches to approximately 3 minutes the best that you can in order to allow
everyone a chance to share their memories.

There will also be a memorial repast in Ken’s home state of New Jersey on
Sunday April 7th at the Knights of Columbus in Netcong, New Jersey at 1.

(The family requests that you either attend the Riverdale OR New Jersey
memorials, not both - as Kenny touched so many lives they want to ensure
everybody has a chance to pay their final respects.)

The family also requests that, although this is a time of mourning, of
course, that everyone keep in mind that Kenneth believed in living life to
the fullest and that he did not want his funeral to be a thing that brought
about sadness, that there was a spirit of remembrance and fondness and that
rather than mourn his passing, we celebrate his time and living a life
wherein joy is brought about through service to others.
