* Thursday, November 7th, 7-9 pm:  YarniaThis is not a drill; it really is getting cold outside.  Time to brush up on your knitting skills and get going on that scarf.  Open to anyone who likes to knit, craft, draw, and relax.  All ability levels, friendly company, and delicious mead.  New Yarnians welcomed with open yarns :)
 * Friday, November 8th, 7-10 pm:  Alif Laila  The Gateway Arts Center's Listening Room presents an evening with Alif Laila, an internationally renowned sitar player who has performed in such venues as: Kennedy Center, Smithsonian, Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Purcell Room South Bank Center –London and The Sangeet Research Academy, India. She is a prolific creator and has directed, produced, Indian classical, fusion and multimedia presentations throughout her music career. She is an accomplished painter and founder /director of the music school Sitar Niketan in the Wash DC area. Tickets are just $15 at the door or you can buy online at: Pgparksdirect.com. Of course, Maryland Meadworks will provide the libations. The Gateway Arts Center is located at 3901 Rhode Island Ave. in Brentwood, Maryland.
* Saturday, November 9th, Noon-7 pm:  CLOSED for Private Event - REOPENING 7-10 pm
Maryland Meadworks is hosting a private event for some of our favorite patrons on Saturday and we will be closed from noon until 7 pm -- reopening from 7-10 pm.
