Calling all costumed pups and people, please help us celebrate one year of serving great mead in Hyattsville with a Halloween Party!!  Bobbing for apples, costume contests, brass quintet, sheet cake, and lots of great mead, including the release of our pumpkin spiced mead!  Plus the debut of two special items hand-crafted just for the Meadworks.
Schedule:3 pm: Bobbing for Apples (kid friendly)4 pm: Dog Costume Contest5 pm: Sheet Cake from Shortcake Bakery6 pm: Debut of LED Bee and Outdoor Table7-10pm: Portobello Brass Quintet and Costume Contest
We are very excited that the Portobello Brass Quintet will be joining our 1st Anniversary Halloween Party! Featuring an awesome arrangement of the soundtrack to Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas," they will bring you lots of other brass-centric Halloween-y songs.
Portobello is a group of 5 friends who regularly get together for camaraderie and classical music. For the past three years, the group has performed around the DMV in eclectic venues from street choir corners to professional concert halls. They are all classically trained, and between the five of them, have 7 degrees in music. No matter the genre or location, Portobello has the simple goal of enjoying music in its different forms, and passing that enjoyment on to you.
