<DIV>movie house - since the theme for </DIV>
<DIV>Mt Rainer, Hyatts etc is Art - why not</DIV>
<DIV>develop this movie/stage for the arts </DIV>
<DIV>for children. Based on why arent kids </DIV>
<DIV>interested in Ben Hur, Cleopatra etc</DIV>
<DIV>type things - based on kids not liking</DIV>
<DIV>history too much, or litereature can</DIV>
<DIV>be hard since kids do not read any </DIV>
<DIV>more - we could gear the movie house</DIV>
<DIV>towards teaching by movies that would</DIV>
<DIV>help kids all ages in these classes. </DIV>
<DIV>Once again, college students in their</DIV>
<DIV>specialty fields could help and partici-</DIV>
<DIV>pate. Kids could come by class to the</DIV>
<DIV>movie or get extra credit for bringing</DIV>
<DIV>the stub & writing a report to turn in</DIV>
<DIV>to the teacher. We could also do </DIV>
<DIV>Hispanic historical movies & Asian</DIV>
<DIV>ones in English or easy sub titles.</DIV>
<DIV>There is a movie for about every </DIV>
<DIV>good book. </DIV>

<DIV>Also since the schools have plays</DIV>
<DIV>& stages, the best ones could put</DIV>
<DIV>on their plays at the stage of Riv</DIV>
<DIV>movie. Could give Childrens Oscars</DIV>
<DIV>& the college kids Producer/Dir. </DIV>
<DIV>Oscars. The students/kids could</DIV>
<DIV>do their own artwork to advertise</DIV>
<DIV>& go to the schools to give a talk</DIV>
<DIV>on it or whatever the ideas are.</DIV>

<DIV>They could have dress up plays </DIV>
<DIV>pretending we are going to the</DIV>
<DIV>Kennedy Center & dress down</DIV>
<DIV>dress for other types movies/plays.</DIV>

<DIV>Parent participation is a must - </DIV>
<DIV>we need to learn to motivate our</DIV>
<DIV>kids to love the arts. Hands on </DIV>
<DIV>experience teaches best & it is</DIV>
<DIV>a way to further develop the already</DIV>
<DIV>done school plays - all grade levels.</DIV>
