Well, The Glut Co-op in Mt Rainier is 2.14 miles from our house, according to MapQuest. <br><br>Whole Foods has apparently committed to a store in the Cafritz development and this was reaffirmed, I understand, at the Cafritz presentation last Saturday. I think some industrious TownTalker should open a bookie line on when Cafritz will be up & running. I'm guessing sometime in 2014 (*assuming* this big R doesn't turn into a big D). <br>

<div>I personally like all the updates on restaurants in our area. Chef Geoff's is a great local chain and I often visit his restaurants in DC and Bethesda. Thanks to your email now I can plan to go down the street for the same quality I used have to drive 20 min for. Keep the new business updates coming! </div>
<div> </div>
<div>By the way, I have written to every organic grocery chain I know asking them to open in our area. Yes! Organic market showed some interest. Do you know of any grocery stores planning locations here so I don't have to shop at Giant or drive 5 miles to get to MOM in College Park?</div>

I think the opening of new area businesses is an appropriate use of this list. I think there may be a point to cutting frequent messages from our list, though. It's a good question and worth considering. The question for me is where to draw the line. COC, I appreciate your thoughts especially since they probably represent many others also.<br>
