What's the point in paying taxes for substandard services?<br><br>Over here (NE corner of East West highway and Route 1, the forgotten section of ward 1) we haven't seen a plow in over 30 hours. And as a reminder it stopped snowing over 36 hours ago. We have one lane open on most streets and less on the dead ends. <br><br>This is not acceptable. We have done our part (moved cars off the street and shoveled our walks). We need the town to do their part. It was bad enough getting left off the leaf removal routes (they skipped 5 scheduled pick ups until I called and there were still huge piles of leaves in my neighborhood before the snow came), but poor/non existent plowing is over the
line.<br><br>Snow removal is important.<br><br>Snow removal is budgeted, funding should not be an issue.<br><br>If you are not getting acceptable service after a reasonable time (and that's the key- I did not expect shiny streets first thing Sunday morning but the storm has been over for quite a while) you should complain until the job is done right.<br><br>That's my two cents,<br><br>Dave (curmudgeon in training)<br><br><br>Say what you will about Sisyphus.
