of the War of 1812. Don Shomette, underwater archaeologist and author of the
recently published <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Flotilla</span></i> and
other books, will <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>present his talk, <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>New Perspectives on the Battle of Bladensburg</span></i>.
</span></b>It was this battle that Rosalie Stier Calvert wrote of seeing cannon
fire (or as you’ll find out, Congreve rockets!) from her chamber. $5/students
