style='font-size:11.0pt'>The condominium and apartment communities in Greenbelt
East have experienced an increase in burglaries over the last few weeks.
Although some arrests have been made, burglaries are continuing to occur. As a
result, patrol efforts have been stepped up in these areas, but residents are
reminded to take steps to protect themselves from burglaries. Residents are
urged to lock their doors and windows and to keep their curtains and blinds
drawn when not at home. Also, please report suspicious activity to the
Greenbelt Police as soon as possible at 301-474-7200 (non-emergency) or
301-474-5454 (emergency). Remember, prevention is key to stopping crime. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
