The Spotlight Cafe on the traffic circle at Rhode Island Ave.
& 34th St. in Mount Rainier is NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS! (This is the
former Artmosphere space on the southwest side of the circle).

I had a smooth latte there Saturday morning (only $2.53 with
tax) and a FREE buttery, flaky croissant (if you come in between 7-8
am).

The service, food, and coffee was EXCELLENT.

If
you bring your own mug, you will be doing something special for the
earth!

Come on out and support a local business as it gets its
start in friendly Mount Rainier!

Brian and Dwight can use your
help getting this neighborhood gathering place up and running. Here is
a brief wish list - go in and talk with them if you can
help:

1. Furniture - good condition, darker wood, chairs,
tables, etc. Also if you have a bistro set that you can spare, they
would love to have some outdoor seating.

2. Children's Books
& Wooden Puzzles - in good condition for the children's
bookcase.

3. Gardening Talent - Brian wants to plant a
perennial garden on the 34th street side. Design, plants, labor,
carpentry work would be terrific.

4. Bike Rack(s) - Phil &
PJ, can you help with finding a sturdy, well-made rack?

5. Art
for the Walls - local artists especially desired!

6. Musicians
to play for a hour or two here and there.

Friendly dogs welcome
on the outside terrace!

Please go in and tell the guys how
grateful you are that they care about our community! Ask how your
special talents can help make this a neighborhood gathering
place.

Cheers, Jenny
