Melissa,<div><br></div><div>If you read the original post from HOPE, the post office that they said might be closing is the one on Route 1, not the Kenilworth Avenue post office.</div><div><br></div><div>In addition, I attended the Purple Line briefing on Saturday morning, and the ramp for the Purple Line will start south of where the Post Office is. There are many businesses that will be affected on Kenilworth, but the post office is not one of them.</div>

<p>Was it here on the HOPE list - somewhere in the last 6 months i picked<br>up from somewhere that the Hyattsville P.O. was on a list of post<br>offices to close, anticipating continued budget pressure (and<br>anti-USPS hysteria, but i digress).<br>
The other day at the Riverdale P.O. (on Rt 1) the clerk was saying<br>that he understood that that post office is also on "the list."<br><br>Hopefully this is just fearful thinking, but given the current budget<br>
atmosphere, it'd be hard to rule anything out. Does anyone have any<br>factual knowledge of the situation and could shed any light on this?<br></p></div>
