<div>Chuck had several hours of surgery today, which I understand went well. I do not know the details of the surgery at this time. He is back in his room and is resting.</div>

<div>This evening, thanks to the efforts of Deputy Chief Robert Cease, the station provided dinner to the families of all of the DCFD members at Washington Hospital Center.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Hopefully I'll have some more details tomorrow about the next steps for Chuck.</div>
