"The Town Talk mailing list is open to all Riverdale Park residents. It is
a way for you to discuss anything you think might be of interest to
other residents or the town's government."

Well, I hope that we can all act compassionately on Fire Chief's Ryan's battle without ulterior motives.

I see no more than a small comment from our mayor.

It takes a lot more effort, when one's life is on the the line. It takes leadership and you have to work to make a difference, like rallying people, maybe even make a speech...

To get really involved...
For anyone who missed it, or would like to refer to it again, Mayor
Archer recently pointed TownTalk readers to the RP Fire Dept's website
(http://www.riverdalevfd.org/), where one can leave a message for
Chuck Ryan and/or see the instructions for leaving a donation.

The instructions given there are: "If you would like to make a
donation (or drop off a card) on Chuck's behalf, please make a check
payable to the Riverdale Fire Department and drop it off at (or mail
to) the offices of the Town of Riverdale Park, 5008 Queensbury Road,
Riverdale Park, MD 20737."

We are truly fortunate to have the dedicated first responders -- such
as Chuck Ryan -- and civil servants that we do. It's part of what
makes Riverdale such a wonderful place to live.
