I guess you are relatively new in Riverdale Park -- I checked the DC area for lawyers by your name and found none -- and, after a prolonged search, found none in the nation, either, So, I though: "that nice Ed Neilmeyer,esq who offers his pithy insights on Town Talk for free all the time probably needs to promote his law practice a bit more." So, Ed, why not use the ArtsFest2011 stage to advertise being a lawyer in Riverdale Park? It's a great way to get out in front of the community and let them know that we have a new legal eagle soaring above our town... someone we can trust. </div>

been performing good-time oldies music before packed audiences and
building an allegiance that most show bands can only dream of. But
despite his long experience performing around the mid-Atlantic
region, Brown has never brought 2nd Conspiracy to his hometown, Riverdale
Park. That will change Sunday, May 1, when the six-member act climbs
the stage at the fourth-annual ArtsFest at Town Center for a two-set
performance.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span>“Bring your lawn chairs and get ready to rock-and-roll,” says Brown, who
acknowledges that he’s excited about the date. So why has the group never
played in Riverdale Park? “We have never been asked,” says the popular local
businessman with a grin. “It’s as simple as that.” That oversight will be
rectified at ArtsFest2011 beginning at 4 p.m. with a pulsating performance of R&B, rock-and-roll
and Southern Rock music that has made Wayne Brown and 2nd Conspiracy
one of the most sought-after oldies bands by area radio stations
for their events for more than a dozen years.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span>Speaking of radio, few personalities have been as popular and as
diversely talented as WTOP-FM’s David Burd. He will emcee the day’s musical
performances from the ArtsFest2011 main stage. Burd’s topical features ignite
the Washington all-news station’s listener call-in lines with
informative and fascinating responses and are considered one of the outlet’s
keys to success. (WTOP, among the most-listened-to adult radio stations in the
nation’s capital, is also the highest revenue-generating radio station in
America.) Burd first arrived in Washington in 1984 as part of the “Baker &
Burd” morning show at WPGC-FM. The team later was heard at WASH-FM. Burd spent
many years as host at news-talk WMAL-AM, and was the morning voice
of Washington Post Radio. Before becoming a radio personality, Burd represented
several major recording studios including Capitol Records, and he was
responsible for the road tours of such acts as the Bay City Rollers and rock
artist Sammy Hagar.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span>Con Junto Andraricgo will hit the stage at noon, offering a wide variety
of traditional Mexican and regional cover hits and original compositions, led
by singer-percussionist Eduardo Sanchez, originally of Pueblo, Mexico, now of
Riverdale Park. Previously known as La Tradicion Grupo, the six-member act
debuts its new name and a re-energized sound with a pumping brass
section at ArtsFest2011. Halfway through the two-hour performance, three
members will step down for another trio to merge as the group evolves into
Faraones Musical with a younger, contemporary Mexican sound.</span></p>

Americana-marinated alt-pop four-piece group that includes upright bass
player Andrew Brown, also a Riverdale Park resident. Andy is a music teacher at
the German School in Potomac and a member of the Riverdale Park Arts Council.
"Brûlée puts on the sonic complexities of jazz with the song craft of
traditional pop. Some tunes rest on a driving rock beat, but most have a more
relaxed feel,” observed the Montgomery County Gazette in a recent review.
"The structure is contemporary, but (vocalist Aura)
Kanegis's midnight croon recalls 1960s genre-benders like Marlena Shaw and
Nina Simone." </span></p>

will be an expanded day-long event that includes an art display and sale
by photographer Paul Kennedy at the barbershop. </span></p>

Jambassadores, open the day in concert at 11 a. m. on the main
stage. At noon, heat a Barbershop-style Blues Jam on the south
side stage, followed by a "Bones-Making Workshop with
Jim Lande" from 2 to 4; and “Between the Lines” open mic and
“Songwriters Forum With Kim Capps,” from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.</span></p>

he will teach festival-goers how to make the one-string diddly bow on which he
beats out rhythm on a single wire string. He’ll also explore the limits of this
primal instrument by moving beyond traditional playing styles
and instruct how to change the pitch with a flat glass bottle slide.
“Turn off from the main musical highway by building your
own diddley bow, and then teach yourself to play it,”
invites Willie. “Search out new musical paths or old ones that were lost and
all but forgotten.</span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman""> </span><span>There are no 'rules' for playing
