<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; ">Prompted by the Cafritz propsal, the people of the Route1 Coalition came together to ask questions about the way we wanted our communities to grow. Our initial outreach effort brought out 400 people in the middle of July and we knew we were not alone in doubting the wisdom of the proposed Cafritz Property development. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; "><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; ">Since then the developer has drowned our part-time city and town council members in a flood of constantly revised papers and plans. Now a December 15 Planning Board hearing has been set. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; "><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; ">We urge you to become involved as the councils of Hyattsville, Riverdale Park, University Park, and College Park decide whether to support this project or not.</span></p>
