I noticed the other day that several mature trees lining the streets of ward 1, the detached part of Sheridan and Tuckerman St, were marked for cutting down. The don't appear to be obstructing any power lines. The posters are on the town's letterhead, not Pepco. Does anyone know why this is being done? Or if the trees will be replaced?
<div><br></div><div>It seems absurd that much of Riverdale resists the development of the Cafritz property because of the potential destruction of the woods there, but it is somehow acceptable to cut down what few mature trees we have left in our neighborhoods?</div>
