This weekend I wanted brown sugar. (I like to bake on weekends.) Town Center Market didn't have that either. So I ran over to the Super A Market in the Alamo Shopping Center. I was home in 10 minutes, I got to listen to mariachi music which makes me happy, the checkout lady was super nice, and the prices were incredible.

I'm sad to hear that Giant is being annoying. It's a good thing we have lots of options in this area!

-Sarah

On Mon, Jun 4, 2012 at 9:52 AM, Nina Faye <ns_faye@yahoo.com> wrote:
In March they ran a coupon in their flyer, like they do every year before Easter and Passover. Every other year, since the store opened across from PG Plaza, the local store has made good on their coupon for a free product that our store does not normally carry. This year the new manager not only refused to honor the coupon, he was very rude about it. I have been phoning the customer service number and talking to different representatives since it happened. To this date the district manager has not managed to contact me. Last week I mentioned to the customer representative that I had not told my friends, relatives, neighbors, or the community lists about this ongoing issue, but that I was fed up with Giant. I had asked
for the merchandise and an apology. Well, it is now June. Formerly, I shopped at that Giant sometimes four or five times a week. Except in dire emergencies, I have refused to go back. I will support local businesses over the international corporate bullies who refuse to honor their own marketing and whose managers have no concept of customer service. What makes me sad for Giant are the number of neighbors among other employees who we have dealt with for years and who have always provided very good service. The new Town Center Market is lovely and the service is wonderful. We are happy to shop in downtown Riverdale Park.
