<p class=""><b>PUBLIC HEARING</b></p>
<p class="">ON THE ADOPTED COLLEGE PARK-RIVERDALE PARK TRANSIT DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT PLAN</p>
<p class="">The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has transmitted an <i>Adopted College Park - Riverdale </i><i>Park Transit District Development Plan </i>to the County Council, sitting as the District Council, for a public hearing and final action. The adopted transit district development plan (TDDP) area encompasses approximately 290 acres of land located in the northwestern portion of Prince George's County along and east of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's Metro Green Line. The transit district area is bounded by the historic communities of Old Town College Park and Calvert Hills to the west, Riverdale Park to the south, the Anacostia River Stream Valley Park to the east, and College Park Airport to the north.</p>
<p class="">The District Council's public hearing is part of a process leading to the approval of a new TDDP that will amend portions of the 1989/1990 <i>Approved Master Plan for Langley Park-College Park-Greenbelt and </i><i>Vicinity and Adopted Sectional Map Amendment for Planning Areas </i>65, 66 <i>and </i>67 and the 1994<i>Approved Master Plan and Sectional Map Amendmentfor Planning Area </i>68 located within the transit district boundaries. The adopted transit district development plan will also implement and amend the <i>2014 Plan Prince George's 2035 Approved General Plan. </i>This process also includes a transit district overlay zoning map amendment that will rezone property to ensure compatibility with the recommendations of the adopted TDDP.</p>
