<div>At this time I can only provide a basic sketch of what the process looks like. The applicant has not submitted a Special Permit which will trigger the rest. Additionally the Planning Board itself will set its agenda and public hearings so until there is
an application and until the town receives a referral we are in the dark as well. </div>

<div>The process is approximately below:</div>
<div>1). Applicant applies for a special permit</div>
<div>2) Notification of municipalities within seven days</div>
<div>3) Park and Planning staff review of the application</div>
<div>4) Park and planning accepts the application certifying compliance with application instructions and triggering the clock</div>
<div>5) Referrals are made to DPIE (permits and inspection) for comments and recommendations</div>
<div>6) Referrals are made to various departments in Park and Planning (zoning, urban planners etc)</div>
<div>7) Staff comments available to the public at least 7 days prior to the hearing</div>
<div>8) Public hearing by the planning board is scheduled not less than 45 days from the acceptance of the application unless time trigger is waived by the applicant</div>
<div>9) Applicant must notify municipalities and owners of abutting properties of the hearing date at least 14 days prior to the date</div>
<div>9) Planning Board must vote in super majority (4/5) to overturn a denial</div>
<div>10) Planning Board decisions may be appealed to the Circuit Court within 30 days after a decision is made<br>

deemed out of compliance predicating a disapproval for the application for the 7-11 build-out.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1f497d">The applicant now has the right to appeal the decision to the planning board via the Special Permit Process. The Planning Board will have to return a super majority
vote in favor of the application to overturn the M-U-TC committee’s recommendation of denial.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1f497d">The Special Permit will also come to Town Council as well as surrounding municipalities of at least University Park, College Park, and Hyattsville.
