<div dir="ltr">Just wanted to say that the Riverdale Park Arts Council gave away at least 200 cups of free cocoa during the festival that was gladly welcomed by all who enjoyed it. A big thanks goes out to Michael Sevener who supplied and set up a table and chairs for the Arts Council and to Ken Laureys who assisted in giving out the cocoa. It was a good day and so nice to see so many smiling faces:-)

One day last week when I was at work, my landline telephone decided to "die," and before it died, it apparently decided to dial 911 over and over!? That evening, neighbors told me the police were at my apartment, checking with people in the building, etc., to make sure that I was ok.?<br>
I want to say a big THANK YOU to our police force -?wonderful to know they're looking out for us, isn't it??? -? and I'm very sorry for my phones' bad behavior (it's decided to work, again)!?<br>

I just wanted to say that even though I was busy all day (as unpaid<br>
employee and husband of the Soap Lady - conflict of interest duly noted)<br>
and didn't get to walk around all that much, I think our annual Riverdale<br>
Park Holiday Market & Festival of Lights is awesome, and this one was<br>
easily the best one yet in our 8 years of involvement. (Gorgeous<br>
mid-December weather didn't hurt, of course!) Great vendors, really good<br>
music, and friendly throngs of happy Riverdalians and neighbors coming<br>
through all day long all adds up to a wonderful event!)<br>
<br>
I was particularly struck as the microphone passed from Marianna Previti<br>
and her band to the Wild Anacostias at around 7 o'clock that it's<br>
especially cool that our town and region has so many awesome musicians! Of<br>
course, Miles Spicer had also performed earlier in the day, making at least<br>
3 acts on that very talented roster of musicians who kept us jolly and<br>
entertained all day long who hail from Our Fair City. (There may be others<br>
among the musicians who I don't know who are also from RP...)<br>
<br>

many of the talented artisan crafters at the market also hail from our<br>
town, or from very nearby. So kudos to Riverdale Park AND the Route 1<br>
Corridor. It's good to be us!<br>

Coleman, our tireless farmers market manager and holiday market<br>

Wow, Thank you, Dwight! I can speak for the rest of the Wild Anacostias<br>
(including RP residents Sue and Brian Mondeel) when I say it was our<br>
pleasure to perform at the Festival of Lights again. It's one of our<br>
