<div dir="ltr">Friends and neighbors,<div> </div><div>You may have noticed a posting from Council member <span class="" id=":17a.1" tabindex="-1">Ebbeler</span> under the heading "Attendance at Town Meetings".  The main issue at stake is that <span class="" id=":17a.3" tabindex="-1">Ebbeler</span> has missed the last 6 legislative meetings dating all the way back to July of last year.  The Charter states that any member who misses 3 consecutive meetings shall have their seat declared vacant and an election will be held to fill it.  </div><div><br></div><div>You should also be aware that this has become the norm with <span class="" id=":17a.4" tabindex="-1">Ebbeler</span> as he has only attended 5 of the 21 meetings held over the past year.  </div><div><br></div><div>The Council will be deciding how to address this matter at this coming Monday's Legislative Meeting. I hope that interested residents of Ward 1 will be in attendance.</div><div><br></div><div>Having virtually abandoned his seat you can imagine how <span class="" id=":17a.5" tabindex="-1">Ebbeler</span> might be tempted to lash out at me and probably soon his colleagues on the council as he faces consequences for his neglect. So expect more attempts to deflect attention from his neglecting his duties.</div><div><br></div><div>As a resident living in Ward One, I believe that we deserve better and an opportunity to choose a new person to TRULY represent us. <br clear="all"><div><br></div><div>Vern</div>-- <br><div class="gmail_signature">Vernon Archer, Mayor<br>Town of <span class="" id=":17a.6" tabindex="-1">Riverdale</span> Park, Maryland</div>
