All over the United States, "pit stops" have been developed where bike riders can start their day with a bicycle convoy or end their ride with giveaways and fun. The goal of getting commuters to try biking to work as a healthy and safe alternative to driving has grown from "a few hundred in 2001 to over 17,000 participants in 2015." (<a href="http://www.biketowkrmetrodc.org">www.biketowkrmetrodc.org</a>). The event happens rain or shine (though we want shine...)<br><br>Commuter Connections and Washington Area Bicycle Association are the lead sponsors for this program.
