<div dir="ltr">Neighbors,<div><br></div><div>I was saddened to learn that Joanna Blake, an incredibly talented sculptor with connections to Riverdale Park, died last week.<div> (<font color="#1155cc"><u><a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/joanna-blake-sculptor-of-the-battle-of-bladensburg-monument-dies-at-39/2016/05/28/b60709d2-2351-11e6-aa84-42391ba52c91_story.html">https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/joanna-blake-sculptor-of-the-battle-of-bladensburg-monument-dies-at-39/2016/05/28/b60709d2-2351-11e6-aa84-42391ba52c91_story.html</a></u></font>). <div><br></div><div>Last year, the Riverdale Park Art Initiative commissioned Joanna to create a permanent environmental public art project, which is to be installed at the intersection of East-West Highway and Baltimore Avenue near the JD Williams Office Building soon. In March, Jonathan posted a picture of Joanna's beautiful sculpture, "Great Blue Herons" onTownTalk (<a href="http://riverdale-park.org/pipermail/towntalk/2016-March/019424.html">http://riverdale-park.org/pipermail/towntalk/2016-March/019424.html</a>).  </div></div><div><br></div><div>My sincere condolences to Joanna's family and friends.</div><div><br></div><div>Dan</div></div></div>
