This included hardwired detectors.</li><li class="m_-7390749639061923887MsoListParagraph" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">How do you know if it is older than 10 years? Remove the cover. There should be a date of manufacturer. If there is not a date of manufacturer, it is older than 10 years.</li><li class="m_-7390749639061923887MsoListParagraph" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Correct replacement smoke detectors and combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors may be purchased at any hardware-type store.</li><li class="m_-7390749639061923887MsoListParagraph" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">At a minimum, every level (top of stairs) of your home should have a detector, including outside of sleeping areas.
